Life Science Production and Quality Control Technician / Emerald BioSystems

As a key position within the production team you will be dealing with sophisticated liquid dispensation instrumentation and be responsible for setting and meeting the quality standards in our operation. The ideal candidate is someone who is hands-on, energetic, organized, self-starter, multi-tasker and who enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
• Devise and implement new quality testing protocols
• Develop and monitoring quality metrics and standards for life science reagent kit production
• Analyze relevant data and determine effective internal procedural actions to correct and prevent product discrepancies or contamination, maintaining product performance and customer satisfaction
• Develop product quality documentation
• Manufacture reagent kits
• Contribute to the development of new reagents kits and new applications
Requirements:
• B.S. in Biological Sciences or equivalent
• Hands-on experience with sterile technique, life science product manufacturing and quality control
• ISO 9001 experience or prior exposure to CFR 21 Part 11 would be a big plus
• Experience in working with biotech or manufacturing environment desired
• Strong quality mentality with excellent problem solving skills
• Track record of success in maintaining quality standards in life science product manufacturing environment
• Team player with good time management, organizational and computer skills

Instrument Sales Representative
This is your opportunity to join and grow with Emerald BioSystems, a biotech company catering the protein crystallization marketplace.
Key responsibilities and Duties:
· Sell new laboratory instrumentation to the protein research marketplace
· Identify new customers, identify cross-sales opportunities and manage sales pipeline, including report on accounts and opportunities
· Demonstrate products at customer sites
· Work independently to manage customer relationships, supporting pre- and post sales activities
Requirements:
· BS or MS (science degree preferred)
· 3+ years experience in sales of scientific instrumentation or life science capital equipment
· proven track record in starting up new product sales and growth
· Must have excellent communication and presentation skills, including ability to communicate with life scientists
· Experience managing and tracking sales information using sales database software (familiarity with salesforce.com preferred)
· Available for up to 50% business travel with overnight and potential international travel
· Quick access to East Coast / Boston area preferred (alternatively: Chicago, San Francisco or Seattle)
