Less Protein, Usable Crystals

Grow Diffraction-Ready protein crystals with just nanovolume drops of protein solution. The MPCS uses technology that generates up to 800 experiments in one CrystalCard using every nanoliter of the protein sample - no dead volume!  Sparse matrix and optimization experiments are generated automatically on-chip without the hassle of pipetting screens.  Crystals are Diffraction-Ready: simply loop them out of the CrystalCard or analyze via in-situ X-ray diffraction.
 

Protein crystallization experiments in the form of aqueous drops called "plugs" forming at the 3 1 mixer junction in an MPCS CrystalCard.

The MPCS produces crystals that are Diffraction-Ready - large enough for traditional X-ray diffraction experiments and able to be harvested from the CrystalCard.
